Good morning! It's great to see you're getting started -- let me know if you have any questions! --Reel315 (talk) 12:50, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Getting Started!

[edit]

Hi This is a good start - one of the best things now is just to practice typing in your sandbox to get used to how it works. You can type anything, use this for notes on the film for now. I'm not concerned about "how good" it is just now, just to see that we're practicing with it. Let me know if you have questions. Reel315 (talk) 15:37, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Lead and Synopsis, in-line citations

[edit]

Oct. 10 Update - these are a nice start; as knowledge of the film develops, these will be edited (this is absolutely how it gets done). I'll email specific comments. The references are good: try creating inline citations, e.g., after the sentence where a citation would go in the text, open the "Citations" link and fill in the box with the info. That will create those neat citations that link to the references section at the bottom of the article. (you can just keep the references you have in the article there too for now, also.) Questions? let me know, C.H. Reel315 (talk) 14:23, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Adding Subheads, inline citations

[edit]

Hi - a good start on the Lead and the Synopsis; it gets easier to "see" the shape if the article if we insert the Outline (just leave a few blank lines between the different headings), and use the "Header" Formatting or the Outline (Edit > Headers). Contact Ian if you have questions on the tech side. Looking forward to seeing content in "Production" and "Background." Let me know if you have questions. Production, Background, one tiny copyedit note

[edit]

15 Nov - Hi -looking at this it looks like some of the material added on the 11th "stuck" (last date 5:04) - I looked at the article history tab, clicked open the 'compare article versions" (very helpful). Needs: a draft for production, draft for background. Look for reviews in anthro journals, these should have good extra info to add on these and other sections. The tiny copy edit note is - go through your headers and delete the colon(s) after each word, a colon is not necessary - just the word that is the header. Filling in the empty sections

[edit]

19 Nov. Most of the empty sections will be very short, use the reviews in the anthro journal articles as the sources. Reel315 (talk) 15:11, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
