[edit]Alan Liefting has attempted to blank the contents of this article by redirecting it elsewhere. He has done so without attempting to merge the material here into that other article. Please follow proper process. If you want this deleted, there is a procedure. If you want it merged, there is a procedure. Follow the well accepted procedures of which I know you are cognisant! - I don't want it deleted. There is nothing to merge (it is not referenced and any merger will not fit in with the current contents of the Barry Crump article). Therefore I redirected it. Hey, I LIKE the book as well as Crump's other stuff but a redirect is sufficient at present. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 09:22, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- You don't want to delete!?!??! Please do not do so. I know you can refer to WP-technical meanings of the word "delete", but by blanking this material and replacing it with a redirect to the book's author, where this material is not to be found, you deny the opportunity to improve this article. To the casual reader and even to the reader who is aware how WP works, the material is effectively hidden and thereby effectively deleted. If you want this material not to appear, if you want to redirect this page elsewhere then at least admit you want it deleted. In which case please WP:PROD this article. - Furthermore I ask you do not again revert my re-instatement of the contents. I suggest the safest thing to do, for the preservation of the material is improve the article and finds refs (the book is notable, why not do so?). There are templates available for you to request this. Please use them. Paul Beardsell (talk) 23:38, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- Should you wish to revert my change again then please do not do so, let's ask for external review of our respective positions here, perhaps informally or via WP:RFC. Thanks Paul Beardsell (talk) 23:38, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
