Move request
[edit]It seems to me that the correct title for this album is A BEST and not A Best, so it should be moved to A BEST and the redirect should be changed the other way round, i.e. from A Best -> A BEST.

I actually did change it to A BEST, but then I got a message saying that the letters didn't need to be capitalized, so this guy changed it back to A Best. He believes in very short loading time, and thinks that changing it to A BEST will take the page longer to load. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 142.59.222.22 (talk • contribs) .
- Please read the policy. We don't care if the album is being sold with the "A BEST" title, the Wikipedia naming conventions establish we need to capitalize the first letter of proper words, not everything. Please stop changing everything to uppercase, as that forces other editors to revert you. -- ReyBrujo 19:22, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Last time I checked, the policy was open to different interpretations and nothing has been officially decided yet. Please stop trying to convince others that there has been a decision made on this issue when all there has been was speculation. abarry✓ 19:41, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Last time I checked, the policy was clear: Do not replicate stylized typography in logos and album art, though a redirect may be appropriate (for example, KoЯn redirects to Korn (band)). And yes, this has been discussed everywhere, and the consensus has always been to follow the policy, just check here (Manual of Style), plus other smaller discussions here (WikiProject Japan) and here (J-pop article), here (WikiProject Songs) and here (WikiProject Albums). Also at Amuro Namie and Zard. In the end, the consensus is that we should fit the names according to our manual of style for trademarks and the naming conventions for albums and bands, that request us to use proper capitalization regardless of how it has been trademarked. -- ReyBrujo 03:15, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

- Lead and infobox
- The Ayumi symbol should not be used in the infobox name of the album.
- Avex Trax would do in the lead sentence, since Avex Creative is a part of that group.
- after her 2002 studio album I Am... --> after her fourth studio album I Am... (2002)
- The compilation was released in two formats different formats including a physical and a digital release --> The compilation was released in two different formats, having both a physical and a digital release.
- Seven different artworks were released in several editions of the album. --> Multiple editions of the compilation featured different art works from one another.
- A Best was appreciated by contemporary critics who noted the quality and memorability of the tracks. Many also labelled the album as one of the best representations of Japanese pop music --> Its best to add source to it, since nowadays it is being challenged per WP:SYNTH.
- Give the year for Duty.
- Since its release, the album brought Hamasaki a number of accolades and award nominations with a series of successful recognition throughout Eastern and Western publications. --> Over drawn, just simply say "A Best earned Hamasaki a number of accolades" and maybe link to List of awards received by Ayumi Hamasaki
- Hamasaki will promote the re-release with a Japanese concert tour, entitled Made in Japan --> When?
- Background
- when she released her 2002 studio album I Am... --> Same as lead
- Nearly every single from her three studio albums: A Song for ××, Loveppears (1999), and Duty appeared on the compilation album --> Why don't you use the years for all of them?
I am actually on the fence to go ahead with the review because, although you might have waited, I'm seeing issues in every sentence actually. :( Can you go for a GOCE? —IB [ Poke ] 12:40, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

- Hi @IndianBio:; I think it will be best to finish/fail the article as it is. I have left this article in a dust since I listed it as an nomination for GA, and I have personally improved my writing and grammar since then and have contributed to other articles with more satisfying results. I'll probably re-write the article a bit more for a further nomination, but till then, I'll let you fail this one Nevertheless, thank you for the review. - Thank you for your detailed explanation CDF. I'm sure this will be in a better state once you had another go at it, till then as requested, failing the article. Good luck on round two. —IB [ Poke ] 08:18, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
