Please no redirect from Sequential One

[edit]

I wanted to look up wikipedia for which songs were created by Sequential One back in the day. Unfortunately I am being redirected to ATB, and I can find almost no useful information about Sequential One, most definitely not which songs were produced under that label. So I heavily object to this redirection, because it does not give me - or anyone else who may have the same interest - in all songs created by the project in the ~1990s era. 2A02:8388:1604:CA80:3AD5:47FF:FE18:CC7F (talk) 06:04, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Addition: The german wikipedia has more information: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sequential_One this is one of the few (!) instances where

the german wikipedia has more information than the english one. 2A02:8388:1604:CA80:3AD5:47FF:FE18:CC7F (talk) 06:05, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Miss Jane - Fine Day Remix

[edit]

There is no mention of this song in the article, but is how some fans became aware of ATB. If anyone has details on this, please include them in the article. Thank you. Twillisjr (talk) 17:25, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

– I simply do not believe the DJ is the primary topic here. There are numerous things that are abbreviated "ATB" and get similar pageviews, especially if you factor in people who may have been looking for other targets. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 10:15, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • The hatnote consistently gets some traffic.

Last twelve months of incoming traffic from page view statistics show consistently around ~5k views/month which is a lot of organic interest in this topic. This is a hint to also examine comparative long-term significance.
At the disambiguation page we consistently see ~100 views/month, and the numbers are close to anonymization thresholds so a fair bit of it is not identifiable, and there's also indication of users reaching the disambiguation list from other sources, which means some other sources could be recognizing this ambiguity even if we don't.
With this much organic interest in the DJ, ~1% of incoming traffic and ~2.5% of identifiable outgoing traffic doesn't sound at all impressive. Nevertheless, if we still suspect significant ambiguity, per Wikipedia talk:Disambiguation#on what statistics should look like for hatnotes, primary redirects, primary topics there's ample precedent that this could still be completely fine and would be worth an experiment at least.
Here's the link to the all-time traffic to all topics linked from the disambiguation list. Two ATB topics already show more organic interest than the DJ, the bike acronym and the band acronym. The computing topic and the banking topic are also of similar traffic, though the former is not measurable per se as it's a subtopic in a larger article. The gaming topic that shows up in the clickstreams was split off more recently, so it's only at #8, and for its all-time stats we have read the leaves from e.g. the overall traffic for timekeeping in games, so that's not reliable. --Joy (talk) 10:00, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
