Different interpretations of ASAP urgency

I have aways interpreted ASAP to mean "drop everything else and do it now", as if it means "As soon as physically possible.". I was just speaking to someone who always interpreted it as "As soon as you have free time", as if it means "As soon as possible, after you get your other stuff done."
