Much of information on this page is outdated and incorrect. Strathallen (talk) 00:25, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It sounds as if this page, the "Vision" portion in particular, was copied directly from the AOAC International website (assuming they have one). Someone who has more knowledge on the subject than myself should rewrite the article, or at least cite the source for the text.

Some of text was (heavily) edited from AOAC's page, which is mentioned in the text and as a reference. My later revisions derive from my (long) past work with the AOAC, and otherwise to largely correct grammatical errors and to remove deviations from Wikipedia style guidelines.

Agreed that more detail would be welcome. Vindemiatrix (talk) 21:41, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No analysis by AOAC

[edit]

this anonymous comment was incorrectly placed on my (User_talk:Vindemiatrix') and is moved to this subject talk page.

Vindemiatrix, the Wikipedia AOAC page says AOAC does food analyses for "Nutrition Facts" label in United States. Emailing Garlon Reiger, AOAC administrator, he says this is not true. Do you have a position?204.102.218.122 (talk) 18:45, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you have found that this is an error, you are very welcome to correct it with my thanks. Vindemiatrix (talk) 16:29, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Followup--actually, no, the article does not say that AOAC does food analyses, only that AOAC validates and published analytical methods. This is already correct, and no edit is needed. Vindemiatrix (talk) 01:24, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

AOAC INTERNATIONAL name

[edit]

The proper name of AOAC INTERNATIONAL is in all caps. It should be changed in the article title and throughout. Margaret at AOAC (talk) 16:53, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
