Should Thomas Kahlenberg be mentioned as vice captain, as he has worn the armband in several matches this season? --80.164.42.250 (talk) 22:49, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Danish football fan
Hmm. Guy Roux not even mentioned in this article? Tobias —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.106.164.34 (talk) 23:00, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Laurent Blanc
[edit]Can it really be said that he was launched by Auxerre having had a 12-year-long career with Montpellier, Naples, Nîmes and St Etienne? At the time Auxerre was known as a club capable of restarting the career of players as in the case of Blanc and Enzo Scifo.Williamgeorgefraser 21:08, 29 December 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Williamgeorgefraser (talk • contribs)
The Only Club Never To Have Been Relegated
[edit]Although I am an Auxerre supporter I find that this claim should be removed from the article. It is true only in a tortuous sense. It is quite common for teams in France to fold and start again under a new identity or for two teams to amalgamate. Dijon FCO came into existence in 1998 through the amagamation of 2 local teams and in its present identity is playing its first season in Ligue 1. PSG came into existence in 1970 due to the amalgamation of Paris FC and Stade St-Germain. Though Paris FC had previously played in and been relegated from the first division the present PSG has never been relegated since its promotion to Ligue 1 in 1974. Though I would love this myth to carry on as it concerns my favourite club it is nonetheless somewhat misleading in the context of the article.Williamgeorgefraser 21:58, 29 December 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Williamgeorgefraser (talk • contribs)
