Level crossings on trunk roads in England

[edit]

This was discussed on uk.railway in 2004. From this post, there are only four:

  • Lewes - A27
  • Rye - A259 - ×2
  • Onibury - A49

but I'd be interested if you can suggest any others. --Cavrdg 07:18, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've now checked my maps, and I count at least 8 in England alone;

  • east of Lewes - A27
  • east of Rye - A259 x 3
  • Onibury - A49
  • south of Wisbech - A47
  • north of Oswestry - A5
  • south of Oswestry - A483

It's also possible that there is one more, depending on whether the A154 (the extension of the A14) into the Port of Felixstowe is trunk or not. Richard B 18:20, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article Style

[edit]

This article is a bit too wordy for me, which is why I've added the {{essay-entry}} template. See A1 and A66 for good examples of how a roads article should be laid out, and not simply a narrative of all its waypoints, which is not useful for an encyclopedia. Copied straight from SABRE??

[edit]

Hey, scanning over this, it appears to be plagarised from here. Anyone agree, I think it may only need slight tweaking as I don't think is is strictly copywrited as it is the work of various people DannyM 15:24, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Major junctions

[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians, BTW I have reduced the amount of major junctions on this article from 40 to 4 by making it motorways only. I will add a junctions table later. Roads4117 (talk) 09:25, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
