COI concerns

[edit]

Following concerns that I expressed at AfD about the authorship of this article, I received the following message my talk page (my response is included)

My Relationship with A2Z Group

[edit]

I understand and am sorry for the confusion, I stay in the same city as the headquarters of A2Z Group and therefore know this organization very well. I started writing this article about this organization a few months back but lacked online references to major events/landmarks in the companies history. This is when user A2Z Group helped me with links and information. If my contribution continues to be suspect I can place all the information I have in the talk pages for the article and others can verify the information before they add it to the article. I know this would delay the updation of the article a lot but it would ensure only verifiable, unprejudiced information reach the final LIVE version of the article. Please do let me know in case I should provide any information. [1] Willonthemove (talk) 06:44, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. When somebody sends me a link that tells me that he wants to be wealthy, has a career in Content Management and Web Marketing, it gives me no confidence whatsoever. I strongly suspect a serious conflict of interest here.  Velella  Velella Talk   23:12, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A2Z Infrastructure

[edit]

A2Z Groups's business unit A2Z Infrastructure is an integrated municipal waste management player, providing end-to-end solutions comprising collection, transportation, segregation, processing, disposal, and generating energy from municipal solid waste. It commenced this business in 2008, and is currently handling approximately 7,000 TPD of Municipal Solid Waste across 23 Indian cities. In India Municipal Solid Waste Management process was highly unorganized and was Handled by various Operators. No organization was providing comprehensive solution to treat waste ecofriendly and harness resources. A2Z Infrastructure Conceptualized a model where Municipal waste is collected, treated and recycled in a seamless manner to create recycled derivatives (Compost, Eco-bricks) and Green fuel (RDF) and reduce requirement of the Landfill space for final burial of waste. With this model we approached ministry of Urban Development & various municipalities of the country under the Private Public Partnership of Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewable Mission. A2Z Infrastructure was nominated for the Times Of India Social Impact Awards[2] [3] [4] [5]

A2Z Infrastructure operates in 27 cities across India, and Rajneesh Mehra, joint managing director of A2Z, expects the company to earn revenues of Rs 250 crore from waste management. [6]

A2Z's Kanpur project is being considered as the biggest Solid Waste Management project in Asia.[7] According to A2Z officials, as per the agreement signed by the company, it has to dispose of 600 tons of garbage collected from houses, shops, hotels and commercial establishments. [8]. According to Varanasi's city health officer SK Singh, there is a daily disposal of 700 metric ton (MT) waste from the city area out of which the A2Z is disposing 350 MT per day.[9].

A2Z Infrastructure awarded 30-year contract by Kanpur Nagar Nigam, for collection and transportation of solid waste [10] A2Z Infrastructure's Kanpur plant is South East Asia's largest integrated municipal solid Waste Management Facility

In order to keep temples clean during the Navratra period, Kanpur Nagar Nigam took up the task of cleaning. Muncipal commissioner R Vikram Singh and students of CSMU and A2Z Infrastructure jointly carried out the cleanliness drive at Baradevi temple.[14]

Mr. William Emmanual (user name Willonthemove) modified my user talk page to ask me to help him with this article. Therefore I checked the article but found it nothing but an advertisement. I edit and contribute to articles on subjects that are related to India but not to advertisements that try to appear as articles or involve self-promotion. In the past I have edited many articles to delete text that were ad for schools, colleges, companies, etc. William, I cannot help you with this article. Thanks for replying and I am sorry to hear you did not find the Article complete. Thanks for continuing to edit and contribute to Wikipedia on subjects related to India. by William Emmanual | Send me a Message 05:14, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Mr. Rao Ravindra, just going through the article and understanding the essence of what A2Z Group works on I believe you are quite mistaken in saying that the article is written for the purpose of advertisement. For a company working on eliminating the scarcity of land, and having already contributed so much towards waste management in India (in terms of constructing the largest Integrated Resource Recovery Plant in South-East Asia, and by that putting India again in the limelight) I think it is fair to say the citizens of this country have a right to know if a neighborhood company is doing something to help their community. Kindly revise your viewpoint and don't always have such a negative outlook, even though thats what is required from editors.
