fr:Autoroute française A16 and fr:Autoroute des Estuaires disagree with you. The information on Abelard.org cannot be verified, as it is the case with private fan sites. One must use secure sources for their references. Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons 22:12, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
All I can say is that I have also the French motorway Atlas of Michelin (#914) and that for them the Autoroute des Anglais is the A26, and not the A16. You can also refer to Saratlas, which says the same. Of course you will answer that Michelin is private as well, but they tend to be considered as a reference for road matters. Do you consider Structurae as a private fan site ? - wikipedia entry Hektor 07:50, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I do. I have Michelin maps, without which this type of article would be hard to write. Saratlas is just a fan site, nothing more, look through their forums, its members are all but knowledgeable and work on opinions, not fact. Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons 08:53, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So basically there are already four independent references, including Structurae and Michelin, but you know better than any of them and are right ? Hektor 09:42, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't randomly created the article, I have travelled on it. Itr would be out of place of me to edit an article of something I don't know about. Many editors tend to forget that and assume things a lot, one cannot edit a category's worth of article for the sake of it. Nowhere did I say I knew better than Structurae, especially not Michelin, just read above. you can't go on editing articles just on a whim, the Sanef Website doesn't call the motorway l'Européenne (which wouldn't be more european than any other motorway for that matter). Let it go. Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons 10:55, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Would you agree at least on the fact that since the book I have here right now on my desk, called "Atlas autoroutier Michelin 914" says that the A26 is called "Autoroute des Anglais", the A16 is NOT called "Autoroute des Anglais" ?Hektor 11:41, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
We know the A26 is de anglais... But think of the A6 and A7, which one is du soleil, or are they both? If the A16 is not des anglais, then maybe it isn't... French Wikipedia will have to be changed to reflect that.
Can I ask you though, what's so important with an autoroute's non-official name? Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons 14:05, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes sure, let's put anything in wikipedia, who cares ? A6 and A7 are sequential in the same direction, not at right angle like A16 and A26... Hektor 14:31, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No you're just talking silly and making asumptions. You can't verify the name of the motorway, neither can I, so I'll remove the title autoroute des anglais. Its name will have to remain absent until a reputable source can be found (DDE, Ministère des Transports, Sanef). Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons 17:11, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
