Name of the ship

[edit]

Was the name of the ship Alexandr Sibiryakov or just Sibiryakov? I need to know this before renaming the article. Tupsumato (talk) 10:40, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

From the postage stamp as well as period drawings, the name seems to be A. Sibiryakov. I'm going with it, unless proven otherwise. Tupsumato (talk) 10:51, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Armament?

[edit]

Section Service during war and sinking says ″A. Sibiryakov was armed only with several 76-mm and 45-mm guns″ when she was sunk on August 25, 1942. The General characteristics box on the right states: "armed with a single 4 inch gun in 1942". It may refer to different times in 1942 but it seems contradictory still.
