1936 to 1967
[edit]This article is seriously lacking in the section from 1936 to 1967. Anyone want to pull out Jo Ann Robinson's biography of Muste (which is much better than Hentoff's) and work on filling it out? Musteite (talk) 13:15, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
This article is still lacking in material on Muste from 1936 to 1967. It also does not draw upon the most recent sources, most notably Leilah Danielson's biography. Musteite (talk) 17 April 2016 —Preceding undated comment added 14:01, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
Religion
[edit]What religion was Muste at death?--Gary123 (talk) 14:02, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
- "Christian pacifist" is what he would have called himself, I think. Carrite (talk) 05:05, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
His return to pacifism in 1936 was also a return to the church. He tended to describe himself as both a Quaker and a Presbyterian. In short, he was a Christian not tied to any particular denomination. Musteite (talk) 13:12, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Westminster or Heidelberg?
[edit]Doesn't the Reformed Church in America used the Heidelberg Catechism, not the Westminster? The article states he left over no longer agreeing with the WC, but I believe that is only used in the Scotch/Presbyterian churches, not in Dutch Reformed churches.67.112.74.47 (talk) 15:13, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
