Use of nationality Ceylonese is better per WP:OPENPARAGRAPH than the use of ethnicity Ceylon Tamil. No reference has been given as to his birth in British Ceylon. Cossde (talk) 08:01, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

'(1)The date of date of birth quoted in your article is "c1890"'This is incorrect It should be March 1899 .(this can be verified from the Registrar Generals Office in Colombo)

(11) The date of passing away quoted in your article is "1975" This is incorrect - It should be 1988 - (This can be verified from Obituary notice in The CDN or Sunday Observer c 1988)

I have edited this and my edited version appears below All the facts can be verified from the places SL Government authorities - viz - the Public Services Commission ,The Registrar Generals Department, The Office of the Commissioner of Elections, and also from Varna Ltd at the Airport Ltd Ratmalana

Early life  : Born - March 1899

Career Arulpiragasam joined the Government Clerical Service after he completed his schooling at the Jaffna College Vaddukkodai, and, within a couple of years qualified as an advocate.[3 ] He then joined the Land Commissioner’s Department as an Assistant Land Commissioner. In 1942 he was moved to the Ceylon Civil Service when, for the next few years he served as Assistant Govt Agent at first, in the District of Colombo, and then in Puttalam and Chilaw Districts .He then held numerous other senior positions in Government, including that of Registrar General where he simplified and streamlined procedures in relation to the registration of title to lands. He was then posted as Government Agent for the North Western Province which covered the districts of Kurunegala and Puttalam and Chilaw. In 1952 he took up the position of Commissioner of the Colombo Plan Exhibition, and on successful completion of this assignment in 1955, he was appointed as the first Commissioner of Elections in the amalgamated departments of Parliamentary Elections and Local Government Elections. Prior to this the two Departments were separate. He retired from the Civil Service shortly after the Parliamentary Elections in 1956, and joined the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon as a working Director. He was then appointed as a member of the Public Services Commission and at the same time served as a working Director of Varna Ltd which positions he held till his demise in 1988.
