There seem to be barely any sources for notability, let alone for naming correctly, but in Korean the name is pronounced "Ace" not "Ay-See-Ee". In ictu oculi (talk) 16:45, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

Ace (South Korean band) → A.C.E (에이스) – The group A.C.E (에이스) is better known as A.C.E (에이스) rather than Ace (South Korean band) Viereverie (talk) 09:45, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

- @Viereverie: 에이스 is Korean for "ace". Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:38, 26 December 2017 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Keep the name as-is (because this group is unlikely to be searched by wider community). For redirect A.C.E; its own target is changed to disambiguation page. A.C.E (South Korean band) → A.C.E – A.C.E is currently a redirect to this article so the disambiguation seems unnecessary. Looking at Ace (disambiguation), this article is the only entry which uses A.C.E with that exact punctuation, so WP:SMALLDETAILS should be enough to distinguish this article from the others, too. Alex (talk) 17:38, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nominator. If A.C.E is already a redirect to this article then it proves that the periods and capital letters are enough to disambiguate it from other entries named "Ace" or "ACE". JIP | Talk 13:45, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT - the fact that the weird combination of ACE with only first and second dot redirects here does not make A.C.E a helpful title. ACE has many meanings and removal of the final dot is an optical nicety. This is a South Korean band, nothing to be ashamed of to be recognisable and findable for readers. In ictu oculi (talk) 17:09, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Maybe we need a new guideline WP:MICROSCOPICDETAILS? In ictu oculi (talk) 17:10, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Interpreting well-defined WP terms per one’s own predilections is not helpful to anyone. —В²C ☎ 18:28, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Support. Anyone familiar with this band will recognize it as A.C.E, so this proposed title is WP:RECOGNIZABLE by definition, and perusing the article’s references demonstrates it’s clearly the most common name. Disambiguation here is totally unnecessary. —В²C ☎ 18:28, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- This would introduce ambiguity with A.C.E., which redirects somewhere else. The terminal period period is never sufficient disambiguation, terminal punctuation is “TOOSMALLADETAIL”. There are two other instances of “A.C.E.” on the DAB page, they need looking at. Redirects are cheap, so existence of a redirect per se is weak evidence. On first glance, all look obscure or unimportant. SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:57, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. I admit being myopic, but I had to read half of the discussion to understand that the only distinguishing detail is the trailing dot. Sorry, I agree with In ictu oculi that this is WP:MICROSCOPICDETAILS. No such user (talk) 14:44, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
