Grammar section
[edit]The "morphology and vocabulary" subsection starts with several controversial claims on the "Hmong" language, cites a non-existent source, and proceeds to present word formation data from the Hmu language, not Ahmao. Likewise, it suggests that Ahmao is isolating, despite numerous RS reporting that Ahmao classifiers have inflectional forms, and thus to some extent it is fusional.
The "syntax" subsection likewise is on "Hmong" rather than Ahmao in particular, and claims that syntactically, all "Hmong languages" are "basically the same", despite published RS that indicate the contrary. This subsection cites Li (2002) and Ratliff (1997), which present analyses on Hmu and Hmong, respectively, yet this material is cited here as if it were for Ahmao.
There are plenty of RS on Ahmao grammar, yet none are cited in the grammar section.
I'm adding a message box to flag this until material from confirmed, reliable, and relevant sources can replace the irrelevant content. Apiquinamir2 (talk) 10:58, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
