[edit]

The problem with this article is not really that it reads like an advertisement - this is a by-product of the fact the article was (1) written by the co-author (2) uses mainly primary sources e.g. related to Kennard or the publishers (Tate). It's a difficult one as far as 'reliable' sources go, Kennard is an important anti-establishment artist that, as a result, gets picked up and reported by sources on the edges of 'respectable' media. However, there are one or two 'respectable' secondary sources out there and they need incorporating into the article before an unsympathetic WP editor passes by. And another thing...

[edit]

The book doesn't have a single word in it, it's a vehicle for Kennard's art. Should it really be part of WP Books?? Sionk (talk) 23:42, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

'Abstract or Description

From a formal perspective, the size, price, and content of the book reflect and illustrate Kennard’s extensive research into making political imagery available to a general, non-specialist audience. Combining the global platform of the Web with digital photography and the political cartoon, @earth serves as an original contribution to the genre of the visual book whilst maintaining a readable narrative of fierce political content. Art critic John Berger writes: ‘Eschewing words, it [@ earth] insists on not being forgotten. He [Kennard] is a master of the medium of photomontage.[2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Akashdeep Singh Brar (talkcontribs) 16:59, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
