A few things

1. No-one calls this Squadron '9 Para'. 2. It is not the last remaining airborne RE element at all. 3. This page borders on fancruft. Gormenghastly 15:03, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Two minor errors (for which you have provided no supporting evidence) do not make it 'fancruft'. 199.71.183.2 15:07, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

  • The Squadron is referred to as '9 Para'. The Parachute Regiment website refers to it as such [1], and the Squadron's own (unofficial) website is called www.ninepara.co.uk [2]. A search on Google for '9 Para' turns up this [3]. My Dad was in the Squadron from 1943-1955 and he called it '9 Para'. Jack1956 22:23, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Oh well - if your Dad says so...is he bigger than everyone else's Dad I wonder. The Para Reg website is also unofficial. I should know - I am a member. Again - Wikipedia fails. I shall leave you to your fancruft - let me know if you need any Kleenex. Gormenghastly 12:47, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Actually, if you can try and keep the discussion civil, the point I was trying to make in my obviously clumsy way was that there are people who know the squadron as '9 Para' and who refer to it as such. I accept that this is unofficial, like calling the Parachute Regiment the 'Paras'. Jack1956 20:10, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
