Text Error

[edit]

The text reads, in part: "The squadron was redesignated as the 96th Flying Training Squadron and trained USAF pilots to fly supersonic jet aircraft from 1973 to 1993." The 96th was equipped with subsonic T-37s. Students spent about half a year on subsonic T-37s before moving up to supersonic T-38s in the 97th Flying Training Squadron.
