I have long been an admirer of the 1st FW and its units, and the Hat in the Ring squadron has a rich history, but the tone of this and related articles is frustrating, and needs cleanup to encyclopedic standards. For example, the last line says it has patrolled "the skies". (A) there is only one sky; (B) its an air unit, what else could it patrol? An encyclopedia is not a fan site. --Buckboard 09:59, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
