Article name
[edit]I think it should be Grenadier Regiment 916 or 916th Grenadier Regiment. The current title seems to reflect an incomplete German translation, with the period where English would say 916th. There's probably a precedent for the names of regiments, so if somebody's a little more familiar...NickelShoe 05:04, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
Sorry for my bad english but as a matter of fact I'm German... omahabeachmartin
- I wasn't criticizing--your English is plenty better than my German. I just think the article name should be changed is all. NickelShoe 15:20, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- Okay, how's about German 916th Grenadier Regiment? It seems in line with other military units, such as the ones in the category I just put this one in. NickelShoe 21:33, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
Just wondering, was the regiment only a battalion? Usually regiment is/was formed of several battalions. To confirm this following quote is from axis history forum: "The survivors from Stalingrad formed the cadre for the 1st and 2nd battalions of the 916th Grenadier Regiment.
