Common name
I can't help wondering if this event is known as the "8888 Uprising" (or a direct translation) to the people of Myanmar/Burma. I'd like to confirm that the terminology isn't a creation of western media. Unfortunately, the Reuters reference does not work. Humphrey Tribble (talk) 04:56, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Even if "8888 Uprising" (၈၈၈၈ အရေးအခင်း) was not commonly used by Burmese people in English or Burmese, it still fulfills WP:COMMONNAME because it is by far the most commonly used name in English language scholarly sources.
