111th Fighter Squadron

I could be way off the mark because I don't read Polish, but I don't believe the 111 Eskadra Myśliwska page is the same as the 111th Fighter Squadron page. For one there is nothing in the History of the 111th Fighter Squadron (USAF) that ever indicated that it was in Poland, ever. For another the pages look totally different. --Colputt 00:41, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translation

This is the second article I have run across that translates Polish Eskadra as Escadrille. Escadrille is a French, not an English term, usually the equivalent of "squadron" (although some contexts require "Escadron" to be translated as "Squadron." Bottom line: Is there any justification for using the word "Escadrille" in this article's title?--Lineagegeek (talk) 22:30, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No.164 RAF Squadron 'Argentine British' was not composed of Argentine volunteers

It was a donation squadron presented by the British community from Argentina. Over 90% of its pilots had nothing to do with Argentina. To begin with, in 1942 there were 3 Polish pilots with 164 Squadron: Stanislaw Blok, Witold Nowoczin, and Jerzy Solak.
