371st Support Battalion (Airborne)
[edit]In addition to the mentioned battalions of the 71st Airborne Brigade, there was also the 371st Support Battalion (Airborne) at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas. The primary function of this battalion was as a facility for parachute riggers (who wore distinctive red caps and special rigger jump wings) to dry, repair and repack T-10 parachutes. There was a rigger shop and parachute drying tower on the grounds of Camp Mabry. 47.219.31.122 (talk) 02:10, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
