I apologize for the current lack of data under formation and battle history. Currently transfering said information from Battle of Saltville to this location. Right now, the Saltville article simply covers more than it needs to in regards to the article subject. RebelAt 05:39, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Non-sequiturs

[edit]

There is a lot of information in this article that has no background or context. For example: "On March 16, 1866, the 5th USCC held its final formation in Helena, Arkansas where the fifty missing soldiers from the ranks of the regiment were recognized. Although the likely location for the murdered black soldiers at Wiley Hall would be what is now the Holston Cemetery on Campus, this cannot be proven." Why are they missing? Were they killed in Saltville? Where is Wiley Hall? On what campus? Someone knowledgeable about this military unit needs to re-write this article. Poldy Bloom (talk) 02:57, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

==Initial Rating== It's a good start, but I cannot give it B status, as it is missing a unit infobox.Soldan 18:48, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
