[edit]51-st Guards motor-shooting (П formation). This number in 1965 has received existing since times of war (more precisely, since the pre-war period) 15-th Guards СД (with 1957 - МСД). It constantly was a part of 13-th ОА where has passed in 1946 from disbanded 5-th Guards ОА. All its shelfs, as well as their number, have remained without changes. - Feskov et al, p.114

Unit Post War History
[edit]The postwar history part says the 51st Guards MRD (I) traced back to 51st GRD and some formation number of the 76th RD gave it's honors and to the 29th Guards Rocket Division. Shouldn't the brigade's history then be traced back through the 15th GRD? The article says it received the number 51 but no mention of the honors and awards.Ryan.opel (talk) 23:47, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
