Unrelated Information in Shooting Section

In the section about 50 Cent's shooting, the last sentence of the first paragraph doesn't seem to have any relevance to this article whatsoever. It states as follows: "Baum, Mike Tyson's close friend and bodyguard, was killed three weeks later." Baum, whoever that is, had not been mentioned up until that point in the article, so I'm not sure why they are only referred to by their surname. Why is the sentence relevant to this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.220.83.39 (talk) 06:53, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

In the sub-section of the shooting of 2000-2001 shooting of 50 cent, there is a part of the paragraph that makes no sense. Below is the paragraph. NOWHERE does it say who the hell "Baum" is and how he is related to 50 cent. You can infer that he was riding with Jackson at the time...but it doesn't really say that. It simply needs to be reworded. Perhaps putting it at the beginning? Something along the lines of "Jackson, who was riding with his bodyguard/friend Baum, went to his grandmothers house." I don't know. Just something else. It doesn't make sense in it's current form.

On April 24, 2000, Jackson was attacked by a gunman outside his grandmother's former home in South Jamaica. After getting into a friend's car, he was asked to return to the house to get some jewelry; his son was in the house, and his grandmother was in the front yard.[citation needed] After Jackson returned to the back seat of the car, another car pulled up nearby; an assailant walked up and fired nine shots at close range with a 9mm handgun. Jackson was shot in the hand, arm, hip, both legs, chest and left cheek.[8][13][27] His facial wound resulted in a swollen tongue, the loss of a wisdom tooth and a slightly slurred voice;[13][25][28] his friend was wounded in the hand. They were driven to a hospital, where Jackson spent thirteen days. Baum, Mike Tyson's close friend and bodyguard,[29] was killed three weeks later.[30] 2601:14A:4001:F0B:654E:61:17C3:993F (talk) 23:15, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

Non-neutral POV in Business Ventures

The business ventures section was obviously written by a publicist or representative of 50 Cent. It also contains a lot of vague and non-factual claims. 173.2.64.195 (talk) 14:38, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

Verifiability of 2015 net worth

How can this article state "he was the fifth-richest figure in American hip hop in 2015, with an estimated net worth of $155 million" — and then three sentences later, inform the reader that "on July 13, 2015, Jackson filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut with a debt of $32,509,549.91"??

Those two data points don't reconcile, thus the verifiability of each needs to be enforced to determine which net worth is false.

Furthermore, it makes perfect sense that in the "Wealth" section, the phrase "net worth" should be linked to its Wikipedia page so people can go learn what that really means.

On February 17, 2019, it was announced Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez of the New York Police Department was under investigation after he allegedly made threats against Jackson, commanding officers to "shoot him on sight". This threat was allegedly made during roll call before a boxing event in June of 2017 that Jackson was expected to attend. The matter is under internal review, according to an NYPD spokesperson. Street King Immortal

The top of this article shouldn't mention that "as of 2021, is working on his sixth studio album Street King Immortal", because he canceled that project. I was reading a July 2021 article that said he decided to scrap his Street King Immortal album after a decade in development hell. However, he said he was working on a completely different project. Social media trolling

Why is there essentially no mention of his homophobic, transphobic, and often pathetic social media bullying? It's not like this is a one off 2603:3003:3600:DC00:AC93:5BA2:E78F:3808 (talk) 01:38, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Isn't this part of the machismo associated with hip hop culture? We already have articles on misogyny in rap music and LGBT representations in hip hop music: "Gender and sexual diversity among hip hop artists have existed since the genre's earliest days, yet it has historically and predominantly been perceived as the epitomized expression of Black straight male masculinity and culture, which are usually externalized as the degradation of women and homosexuality within the music and personified as a lifestyle outside the music. In his 2006 documentary Hip-Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhymes, Byron Hurt explores the nuanced relationships between hip-hop, masculinity, misogyny, and homophobia." Combine unreleased album into 50

Considering how long Street King Immortal has been developed and left unreleased, I think it is possibly best to merge Street King Immortal into 50 Cent per WP:RELEVANCE. Anybody agree? Darrion "Beans" Brown 🙂 (my talk page / my sandbox) 08:42, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

I'm not sure I see the case for merging. Looking over the Street King Immortal article, the album appears to be clearly notable in its own right. Sure, it was never released, but its development and cancellation have been discussed by a number of sources that are reliable for the topic area (HipHopDX, XXL, Complex, etc). The Street King Immortal article also goes into substantial detail about the album's development process, promotion, and planned content, much of which would probably be excess detail for the article about 50 Cent himself. Merging the article would result in the loss of a significant amount of well-sourced content, and doesn't have any clear benefits I can think of.
