Merger
[edit](Insert merger template)
- Support merger However, some thought should be given to the cleanup required. While the MILHIST Manual of Style calls for the most recent name to be used in most cases, notability might call for the article to be located under its name while engaged in combat. I believe this is offset by the probability that most searches for "99th Bombardment Wing" will be for the post WW II wing. This location seems the best compromise. The hatnote on the 99th Bombardment Wing will need to be changed to avoid a double redirect. Lineagegeek (talk) 11:09, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'll go ahead and make this merger. Looking at other World War II bombardment wings, I'm inclined to move 2d Bombardment Wing (World War II) to '2d Combat Bombardment Wing' or some such, for the exact same reason. The wording without 'Combat' only took effect after the end of the war. Buckshot06 (talk) 12:24, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
