1987 SB = 1974 DN1
[edit]I see in the JPL Small-Body Database as well as here that 1987 SB is identified also as 1974 DN1. The article and the website indicate that the earliest observation used to determine orbit is 1987. What happened with the 1974 observations? Autkm (talk) 00:38, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- I assume the timestamp is questionable and/or the 1974 image is of poor quality: http://www.minorplanetcenter.net/db_search/show_object?object_id=1974+DN1 (After taking a second look, the asteroid has a 29 year observation arc and has been observed by radar.
