[edit]

The formal name of this unit is the "422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron" (reference 53 Wing Fact Sheet @ http://www.eglin.af.mil/library/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=16015). Recommend merging data from this page and the 422d Test & Evaluation Squadron pages into one page titled "422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron." MajorRiver (talk) 13:34, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

USAF uses 2d and 3d for ordinals, not 2nd and 3rd. --Lineagegeek (talk) 18:31, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

B1 downgraded from Yes to no.

The reference "The 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron: The cutting edge of airpower" would seem to be a web page, but has no link and the page does not appear in a Google search. there is a footnote in [1] citing a blocked link, which may or may not be the source. This link is also dead and not archived.
The references to the books by Matin and by Pape, Campbell & Campbell have no page numbers and cannot be verified.
The reference to "History of the 422d Test and Evaluation Squadron, compiled by the 96th Test Wing Public Affairs, Eglin Air Force Base, FL" does not seem to exist. A search using this name only provides links to this article or to mirrors.
The statement in the lineage section (will be removed) that the squadron was not manned after 26 May 1945 does not appear in the source cited. --Lineagegeek (talk) 18:31, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Citation also removed from United States Air Force section of Aircraft. Cited source does not support all aircraft mentioned.--Lineagegeek (talk) 19:03, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
