The battalion has also submitted a Marine for the Medal of Honor from the Global War on Terror. Corporal Jason Dunham was submitted for the award by Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Lopez, the battalion commander during the unit's deployment to Al Qaim in the summer of 2004. Corporal Dunham died from wounds sustained while attempting to save several Marines from a hand grenade thrown by the enemy. As of September 2006, the award is still pending. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Henchmen6 (talk • contribs) 06:46, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
The battalion is also set to deploy again to an-anbar province, where they were last time, during the last week of April 2007. The future of the battalion should also be mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.80.250.125 (talk) 10:47, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

This page isn't accurate. This is now their 4th tour. Their 3rd and 4th tour were both in Ramadi. The citation regarding COIN operations is regarding this 4th tour, April to November of 2007. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.156.58.34 (talk) 15:45, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Size?
The text of the article says "consist of approximately 800 Marines", while the info box says: "Size: 1,200". Either at least one of those figures is incorrect, or the article should explain the difference. 5.57.21.8 (talk) 17:30, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
