  • WL Stuyvesant family
  • "and the building has contained a Yves Saint Laurent store since then." → "the same year that a Yves Saint Laurent store began operations out of the building."

Site

[edit]
  • While "which was built" is technically correct because you're referring to one "thing" (this group of houses), it flows awkwardly, and "built" might be the better alternative to the grammatically incorrect 'which were built" (thinking out loud)

Design

[edit]
  • "for clothing store L. P. Hollander Company" → "for the L. P. Hollander Company clothing store"

  • Do we know why the Hollander Company fell apart so quickly? I'm assuming the Great Depression, but that should be mentioned
  • "for twenty-one years" → "for 21 years" per MOS:NUM

General comments

Should be all quick fixes. Putting on hold for now, and ping me if there are questions. — GhostRiver 19:22, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@GhostRiver: Thanks for the review. I've done all of the above now. For why the Hollander Company fell apart so quickly, Women's Wear Daily specifically says the cause was unknown, but I presume it could've been due to the Depression. I also got around the awkward wording in 3 East 57th Street#Site by removing "which was" altogether. – Epicgenius (talk) 21:59, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You know, after 300+ GAs, it almost seems like you know what you're doing! That sounds sarcastic, but I do know that the few comments I would regularly make even a few months ago (usually wrt passive voice) are now non-issues, which is great! In any case, passing now. — GhostRiver 22:32, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
