Started the article. It's my first, so please help and hopefully explain to me any mistakes I made. I'm wondering if I should red-link the people involved who don't have WP pages on the theory that they may become notable (or already be notable and I'm not aware of it). I also don't know how to communicate the creation of this stub to relevant Wikiprojects and add all the templates/markups I see on other discussion pages to this page. -Thomas Craven (talk) 02:25, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thomas, normally the Wikipedia format is not to red-link people who are not yet (or have been deleted - a Wikipedia problem) incorporated into an article. You would simply mention their name (however it is that you would want to include them, i.e. the format of the names you are using and how their names are used in public formats) and someone (or yourself) would make the links live as new articles referring to them are built about them. What Happened to the Original Article?

[edit]

I guess the most essential question is what happened to the original article that was on Wikipedia regarding this firm? Where has all of that research and effort gone and who was responsible for its removal? It almost defeats the purpose of even having a Wikipedia doesn't it? Stevenmitchell (talk) 18:22, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Again, what happened to the old article that used to be here, that there is now no record of? Where is all the stuff on Inbev and the other activities that 3G has been at the center of? There is no mention here of 3G's ownership or the hostile takeover that 3G succeeded in of Anheuser Busch or of their subsequent purchases and ownership of the global alcohol market? There was a substantial article with quite a bit of 3G's history here. Did someone once again, because of their lack of knowledge about global affairs, succeed in having the original article deleted? Is that what actually happened? Did deletionists delete this article that was previously here since at least 2008? Can the deletionist(s) reinstall the information that they deleted? This is one of the most important financial firms in the world, and there is virtually nothing here about their activities, and what is here is largely nonsense and erroneous, including the opening summary... How do we reacquire all of the lost information from the earlier article that was here? Stevenmitchell (talk) 08:58, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

3G Capital Ownership (Americanas)

[edit]

3G capital has never owned or held a position in Americanas S.A. (Lojas Americanas). Per page 138 found on Americanas Annual Report (source below), Americanas had been largely owned by founders of 3G Capital, not the firm itself. Therefore, ownership of Lojas Americanas has been updated/removed from the 3G Capital page.
