Amor or Apollo?
[edit]According to the 1st definition of Amor asteroids, (3671) Dionysus is an Amor asteroid. (q = 1.00645923 AU > 1 AU).
However, according to the 2nd definition of Amor asteroids and the definition of Apollo asteroids, (3671) Dionysus is an Apollo asteroid. (q = 1.00645923 AU < 1.017 AU)
Also, Johnston's Archive and IAU's Minor Planet Center agree that (3671) Dionysus is an Amor asteroid. However, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory classifies (3671) Dionysus as an Apollo asteroid.
So, is this asteroid an Amor or an Apollo asteroid? Or, maybe, both of them? VJSC263IO (talk) 23:23, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
