Rearrangement

Most of what has been added to the material contained in the 302d Tactical Electronic Warfare Training Squadron article deals with a different unit, the 1st Strategic Support Squadron. I would suggest the following:

The material on the 1st Strategic Support Squadron be moved to a separate article. That would include material on the 1st Troop Carrier Squadron (active 1935-1945), the 1st Air Transport Squadron (active 1969-1971) and should also include material on the 1001st Air Transport Squadron, whose honors were bestowed on the 1st ATS (active 1952-1969). The article should be titled 971st Airborne Warning and Control Squadron, the designation of the consolidated unit. I would avoid putting the article under the 1st ATS on the ground of notability, even though that was the last designation held by this unit when it was active, but a hatnote should be added to 1st Airlift Squadron {{Redirect|1st Air Transport Squadron|the 1st Air Transport Squadron (1969-1971)|971st Airborne Warning and Control Squadron}}. --Lineagegeek (talk) 20:38, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
