[edit]It will take me several days to get these new articles filled in and sourced. Many thanks for the patient indulgence of Wikipedia's more seasoned editors and reviewers.
I have owned my own professional graphics business since I was 15, and combined with being a historian and writer—particularly biographies—I was once a leading veteran's newspaper's senior editor/editor-in-chief for many years. I am a survivor of three kinds of cancer, but was soundly knocked out of the saddle only by a stroke---my writing and graphics skills have been challenged with stroke-induced dyslexia and other issues.
But I am a fighter, and I have a deep love for this subject matter, and a desire for a more comprehensive and accessible technical treatment of the 1941-42 Philippine Campaign. Wikipedia has too long been without a contributor who would do justice to the organizational and technical aspects of the original 1941-42 Defenders of the Philippines and their commanding generals, unit orders of battle, and unit insignia. Since I have no real right to expect someone else to do it, I decided to be the contributor who would start the ball rolling on each of these units and the generals who commanded them.
Thanks to all, and feel free to correct any obvious spelling or punctuation errors after a few days or weeks. I try to read and re-read my writing and make tweak edits over the initial first few hours. I then like to re-read it after a couple of days, pretending I'm reading it for the first time, and see if it all makes sense and is decently organized, even if is but a brief article. Getting Started with the WWII Philippine Divisions
[edit]Thanks for everyone's patience. I added these pages because there was no reference for these WWII units at all. I fixed one up and then essentially carbon copied it for the other missing Division pages. Then I became ill before I could go any further with them. I will continue to try to fill in more data and sources and proper citations and references as this year (2017) closes out.
Please feel free to amend or correct. I will add more also as I am able. I also intend to add pages for each commanding general of the early WWII Philippine Divisions as I am able. Thanks for your reviews and concerns; they are appreciated. Mluklu7 (talk) 19:20, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
