I'd be wary about including this number (and 3141) simply based on their relationship to pi - with pi being an irrational number, this would imply an infinite number of articles related to pi simply by multiplying it by some factor of 10 and then truncating it - i.e. 314, 3141, 31415, 314159, 3141592 etc. etc. CultureDrone (talk) 11:21, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Non-notable

[edit]

By being the first non-notable number, wouldn’t be notable for this reason? The R 1.0 AUCCC (talk) 02:51, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely not. You are suggesting that the number 314 should be notable simply by being the smallest number that does not have a Wikipedia article. Of course, if that were true then the same logic would then make 315 notable, and then 316, and so on. Meters (talk) 05:33, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Isn’t that the point of the Interesting number paradox? The R 1.0 AUCCC (talk) 22:26, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you were aware of this then why did you post this pointless comment in the first place? Don't waste our time. Meters (talk) 00:04, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was asking this to potentially get that last fact removed. The R 1.0 AUCCC (talk) 23:05, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
