Suggest that this article be merged to Laser 3000, and add a redirect for 3000 (Dinghy), since they contain the same info. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.238.49.65 (talk) 17:29, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
The Laser 3000 is no longer made, but the boats are still around and are able to race in the 3000 Class, which caters for both Laser 3000's and the boats currently (and somewhat differently) built by Vandercraft. Some sailing clubs distinguish between Laser 3000's and so-called V3000's, regarding them as distinct types and giving them different handicaps to recognise the difference in potential speed. Amongst the sailing public, there are those who recognise the 3000 Class as such, but others who recall only the Laser 3000 and are unaware of subsequent development. In view of all this, I suggest that the Laser 3000 merits a page of its own, distinct to the generic 3000 page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Antonhu (talk • contribs) 17:42, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
