singular/plural edit needed

I don't want to edit this since I'm not sure whether it refers to one or more "interpolations":

"The song contains an interpolations of "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five and "Radio Activity Rap (Let's Jam)" by MC Frosty and Lovin' C."

Does it contain "an interpolation" or "interpolations". Also once that's determined it could be linked to Interpolation_(popular_music)
