Hey, been reading through this page trying to get information on the regiment. I noticed the two Official Records citations (footnotes 2 & 3) refer to Volume 60 & 66...which do not exist. The O.R.s are divided into four series. Series 1 is the longest and only goes up to Volume 53. I Checked to see if this was just extending into Series 2 (discussing matters regarding POWs), and so I jump to Volume 7 of Series 2 to verify footnote 2. However, the page number had no information pertaining to the 26th Alabama, especially not in the context of the text the footnote is justifying.
I presume this is just a screwup by the person who made the citations. That happens a lot, and I've seen errors like that in publications often. If the original editor who inserted the footnotes can clarify the matter, I would appreciate it.
