[edit]

In http://www.abklex.de/skripten/kruemel.pdf a - serious - skript about dispersive media with the (funny) title "Kruemelkunde" (2008, by Wulf Alex, in German) (= crumbs science) names an "Italian mathematician and philosopher Guglielmo Binomi (1698-1704(sic!))" in a foot note connected to binomial distribution. --Helium4 (talk) 22:14, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's a bit late, at least about 200 years. "Radicii binomij"(sp?) is used in Fibonacci (1220) "Liber abaci". Binomial theorems were frequently used in the 16th century.--LutzL (talk) 07:07, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
