This article is intended as a list of significant events affecting the aviation industry in 2025. Remember that Wikipedia is not a newspaper and that newsworthy events are not necessarily of long-term significance. A good guide for determining the significance of an event is the ten-year test: would a person reading this article ten years from now consider that the event was significant from an aviation point of view? The answer to that question is usually "no" for general aviation accidents, of which there are literally hundreds every year. The same applies to run-of-the-mill incidents such as runway excursions, in-flight upsets, engine failures and the like, unless some other factor gives enduring significance to the event. Note that the existence of fatalities is not, in itself, a factor in the notability of an event.
