Use of The New York Times

[edit]

@TomCat4680: Your opinion on whether or not The New York Times is failing is irrelevant. The citation was fine and WP:PAYWALL explicitly prohibits this. Please restore the citation or I will have to escalate this to WP:DR. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 03:48, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Answer my question of why would someone pay to read a NYT article when other sites have the exact same information for free then.TomCat4680 (talk) 04:00, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Times does not implement a paywall on every single user, only repeat users. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 04:58, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't work for me. The CNN ones are free forever for everyone and are nearly identical information-wise. TomCat4680 (talk) 05:03, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Response to third opinion request:

That's fine with me. TomCat4680 (talk) 02:09, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm fine with it. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 02:10, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
