The article 2024 Kobani offensive, along with other pages relating to the Syrian Civil War and ISIL, is designated by the community as a contentious topic. The current restrictions are:

Edits made which remove or otherwise change any material placed by clearly established consensus, without first obtaining consensus to do so, may be treated in the same manner as clear vandalism.
Clear vandalism of any origin may be reverted without restriction.
Reverts of edits made by anonymous (IP) editors that are not vandalism are exempt from the 1RR but are subject to the usual rules on edit warring. If you are in doubt, contact an administrator for assistance.

Agree: The current battle situation seems to mostly be focused on heavy artillery, drone strikes, and some attempted ground operations on the Tishrin Dam and other bridges along the Euphrates which have not produced any results. I can move the article now if consensus is reached and move it back if the situation changes, especially if the reported amassing of Turkish troops along the border with Kobani develops further. I haven't edited that article before, but I'm in favor of removing it since there doesn't seem to be an offensive in Kobani region. Ecrusized (talk) 00:02, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
