Transfers
[edit]Hello everyone! Firstly, i wanted to discuss the Joselu transfer - how do we display it here, just add his departure to Espanyol as 'end of loan', then his transfer to Madrid and then his transfer to Al-Gharafa? And secondly, what about keeping the transfers of only first-team players? Leprazoori (talk) 14:04, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- He was loaned and returned to Espanyol and from there he goes maybe further, so just a return for me. And yeah, just first-team would be better. Kante4 (talk) 14:54, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Espanyol confirmed that Madrid executed their buy out right, that's why I'm askinsg. Thanks for your feedback on the second part. Leprazoori (talk) 15:08, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Ahhh, the news i missed. Then the new club (if announced) should be added. So he was a transfer in and then maybe out. Kante4 (talk) 15:24, 27 June 2024 (UTC)

Matchdays
[edit]I move the discussion to here. Pinging @Lafuzion and Leprazoori: as involved editor and editor of this article. Last season(s) we moved the moved matchdays in chronological order, so it matches the order of matches played and the results by round table. Lafuzion wants that changed, so please read below and enter your thoughts.
Start...
Per last seasons, it was done the same. What about the position by round table? Does it stay empty and filled afterwards? If a game is rescheduled a lot for or back it can be "16 (3rd), 17 (17th), 18 (3rd)". Makes no sense. Per WP:BRD you were bold, i reverted so you should start a discussion and not revert again. Kante4 (talk) 18:40, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- You have to keep it as week 12 and then you move it in between whichever weeks the game is rescheduled to; i.e., if its replay between Round 20 and 21 then you add Round 12 to in between those rounds. El Clasico is on Round 35, so you can't change their round numbers. Lafuzion (talk) 19:02, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- So, if round 12 is played between 25 and 26, the results by round table is incorrect (example above). Please see last seasons for examples how we dealt with it, you can't just come in and change it without consensus. Pinging @Leprazoori: as another contributor at that article. Kante4 (talk) 10:36, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Valencia vs Real Madrid is a Round 12 match whether it was play on its original date or next year in May, it doesn't become a new round. I'm genuinely confused whether you understand what I am conveying.. Lafuzion (talk) 20:34, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, but it's not the 12th game for Real, that's how we handled it the last seasons and i do not see a reason to change it. Kante4 (talk) 20:41, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- The number is not the matches they've played in chronological order, but the specific round in the League's calendar. Last year when Barcelona's match vs Osasuna was postponed (Round 20), it was slotted between Round 22 and 23. The result by round was added to Round 20 when the match was completed, but their position can be added chronologically because there's movement in the table due the games that were actually played. Lafuzion (talk) 20:57, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- So, the order in the results by round table can be changed and "be in wrong order" but the order at the matches should stay the same? Kante4 (talk) 10:36, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- You move the matchday to when it is reschedule. You don't update the result because the match has not been played; however, you update the position because other matches were played. So after Round 12, Real Madrid is still in 2nd place. Lafuzion (talk) 14:30, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- That for me makes it more complex than it has to be. And like i said, we should be consistent with previous years. (Tbh, the status quo of how it was should be put back in the article until an agreement is reached WP:STATUSQUO) Seeing no participation here, i feel it should be moved to the Football Project for more input. Kante4 (talk) 14:35, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Kante4 IDK how it's complicated because it's very clear right now the way it is. Their Match 12 was postponed and now we're waiting for it to be rescheduled. Once it is then it's slotted to where it goes chronologically, W/D/L is updated once the match is completed, and life goes on. At the end of the season you'll be able to clearly see this... A discussion i found and not that long ago. Seems we are in a situation where we agree to disagree (which is totally fine) so other opinions on the footy project may be (are) needed. Kante4 (talk) 09:28, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
