Background

[edit]

"On 7 October 2023, militants from Hamas, a Palestinian political and military organization and other Palestinian groups, launched its biggest assault in years across the Gaza–Israel barrier into southern Israel, as well as firing rockets into Israel"

I don't think this captures the gravity of the attack, and the mention of Hamas as a political and military organization fails to include that Hamas is designated as a terrorist organization by numerous countries.

@Relspas: [1] you can add the source and restore. Makeandtoss (talk) 21:09, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Makeandtoss: Since this does not summarize the body, it should not be added to the lede where it was before. If you feel it's appropriate and meets NPOV, you can add this to the correct section. Relspas (talk) 13:54, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is a spelling error in this quote "The blockade has contributed to imminent famine conditions in the Gaza Strip, which was exacberated by Israeli airstrikes targeting food infrastructure and restrictions on humanitarian aid." Change "exacberated" to exacerbated. 4.28.226.155 (talk) 13:52, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
