An anonymous editor renamed the title of the infobox to "2023 Baltimore Block Party Shooting" and I wanted to get consensus on renaming the page to "2023 Brooklyn Homes shooting" or similar. I'm leaning toward keeping the page's title as it currently is since Brooklyn Homes could be confused with Brooklyn, New York. Y2hyaXM (talk) 22:26, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose - The current title of "2023 Baltimore shooting" best describes the event, so long as there are no more notable shootings in BWI this year. --Jax 0677 (talk) 00:09, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
While I recognize this is a quote from a local news article, it is inaccurate and unnecessarily misleading. The factors that differentiate a rifle from a pistol are barrel length, presence or absence of a forward vertical grip and other physical characteristics. The caliber of ammunition is not a factor, therefore the term "rifle-caliber pistol" is non sensible. Any caliber fired from a rifle is a rifle caliber. Any caliber fired from a pistol is a pistol caliber. Lastly, unless there is evidence (ie witnesses, video etc) to identify the type of weapon, there is no way to know whether a casing was fired from a rifle or a pistol. They are identical to any form of inspection. 198.174.211.29 (talk) 14:46, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
