Rangers alternate jersey
[edit]@Sbaio, the Rangers alternate jersey is described in the article as:
The navy-blue color of the sweaters represents New York City nights. Red, white and blue stripes line the sleeves and bottom of the jersey to represent Madison Square Garden’s lights, the streaking traffic and the hustle of the city.
Meanwhile, the only place the 1976-1978 uniform is mentioned is in the context of the crest, which is stated as
The jersey features the Rangers iconic shield as the crest, which was only worn from 1976-78 by the team.
Going off that, I feel that the current "loosely inspired by their 1976-78 road jersey" is an inaccurate description per the source, while the reverted one is better. I'll drop the "hustle of," but I'm going to re-edit the description. The Kip 22:29, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
- @The Kip: I saw the "the hustle of the city" of the city part. The reason I changed it is because "the hustle of the city" part is not defining in that source and your edit looked like WP:SYNTH –
Similarly, do not combine different parts of one source to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by the source.
In addition, the "loosely inspired by their 1976-78 road jersey" part was actually added by another editor and I changed it to this formation (my initial change). I now slightly changed your wording by omitting "primary" fromtheir shield primary logo as the crest
, because the Rangers do not have any other logo and the source does not say "primary". – sbaio 16:38, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
7000th game
[edit]Since you mention the Canadiens playing their 7000th game, I just noticed that the Leafs also played their 7000th game on February 10, game 50, at Ottawa in the "Morgan Reilly crosschecking incident" game. I noticed that the Leafs had a total of 6950 games played at the end of last season. Their must be an article out there somewhere that mentions this. Please help. Thank you.05:31, 29 February 2024 (UTC)! — Preceding unsigned comment added by BumbleBum (talk • contribs)
