Florida and Georgia

Map needs updating, as Florida & Georgia were won by the Republicans in 2018. GoodDay (talk) 02:26, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

"limited from"

The "Governor is term limited from the XState constitution" seems awkward. Why not just "the XState constitution prevents Governor from seeking another term"? 331dot (talk) 21:20, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

leaders

first kim reynolds and roy cooper are vice chairs of the rga and the dga (respectively) so shouldn’t it be the chairs of the organizations? Minnesotabaddie (talk) 14:02, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

@Minnesotabaddie: They are the current vice chairs, but chairs only serve for one year. Therefore, the incumbent chairs of the RGA and DGA won't be in office in 2022. Vice chairs usually succeed their chairs, if that makes sense. Here is the DGA source and the RGA source. Sdrqaz (talk) 20:46, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Map

With basically every other election, if you click on a state, it sends you to the election in that state. Can someone please do that with the map here? BazingaFountain42 (talk) 19:25, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

Map: Rhode Island

Now that Raimondo has resigned and McKee has taken office, shouldn't Rhode Island no longer be marked as a state with a retiring incumbent? Crashguy42 (talk) 15:41, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Map: California

As a Recall election in California is imminent it is questionable whether Newsom will be elected again. So how about changing California on the map from Democratic incumbent to Undetermined incumbent until the Recall election concludes? FCE64 (talk) 20:34, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

The recall is technically not imminent until the signature process is complete; signers have a period to remove their signatures if they wish. Suggest waiting until that's over. 331dot (talk) 20:40, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

Now is the time. Lt. Gov. Kounalakis has determined the Recall elections date. So the Recall election will happen. FCE64 (talk) 09:49, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

Wording for Newsom in table

It identifies his eligibility to seek election as "Eligible pending recall". This seems to imply that a recall election, if it succeeds, would entirely forbid him from running in 2022. If I am not mistaken, he would be eligible to run in 2022, even if a recall removes him from office before then. SecretName101 (talk) 00:06, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

Agreed. The only think the recall would affect is whether he is an incumbent or not. 331dot (talk) 08:38, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
