Article

[edit]

Hi @JayMithila:, I saw that you are mostly active in creating articles relating to politics. If you have some time for this then, I request you to expand this article. Thanks! Fade258 (talk) 02:42, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Fade258:, I would appreciate if you could help me know the things that can be added here now. Advices are always welcomed. And yes this page and 2022 Kathmandu municipal election needs protection from 3 days now so that this doesn't affect election result at any cost.JayMithila (talk) 05:15, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No worries about that. Your mentioned article does not need protection as there is no any disruption or vandalism to justify the protection policy. Fade258 (talk) 05:35, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! @RulesTheNation:, @Fade258:. I just created a demanded article Draft:List of chairpersons of rural municipalities in Nepal. I request you people to observe it once and help completing table.JayMithila (talk) 09:15, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
JayMithila, Thanks for reaching it. Probably, I will give some times to improve this drafted article which was moved into draft by Fram beacuse of not ready for mainspace. Thanks! Fade258 (talk) 11:06, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@JayMithila:, I recently noticed that, I don't think that we should consider this article as data will be changed after 5 years as local level election happens. Please kindly give your thoughts. Fade258 (talk) 17:16, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Fade258:, Well. It is not clear what you are telling. Can you please explain?JayMithila (talk) 17:21, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If we add current chairperson names then again after 5 years of this year local level election there will be another local level election will be held then at that time again different people will win the post of chairperson and at that time again we have to change the data. Infobox

[edit]

Well! I congratulate every Nepalese on successful completion of election. I got to know we have some misunderstanding on arrangement of parties in Infobox! I myself think party winning mayoral post and receiving highest popular vote is to be kept first. On the other hand, Mayors have power centered on themself as they are directly elected/people's elected. To sum up, elections are mayor centric with elected members having not much power or changing a mayor on gaining majority as in neighbouring India. We have two choice:-
1. Keep party with mayor win and highest popular vote (What I prefer as these are articles on municipal election than municipal council election.)
2. Keep party with highest seats (Not effective when mayor directly elected)
Please give your consent to reach a consensus. @Fade258:, @RulesTheNation:, @Biplab Anand:, @Tulsi Bhagat: Your consent are welcomed! JayMithila (talk) 19:06, 21 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

All members of the council are directly elected and important decisions regarding the local body has to be passed by a majority through the municipal or village council. This, [1] is an example of the importance of having a majority in the council. I suggest two infoboxes, one for the municipal council election results and the other for the mayoral election results. RulesTheNation (talk) 19:15, 21 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I support option 1. It seems more relevant as per our context. Maybe because even news agency also cover only popular vote/ mayoral wins. Well remember that we have WP:NOTNEWS. To read news people should visit news website to Wikipedia. Thank you! Have a great weekend.Krish edits675 (talk) 11:42, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
