Presumptive Democratic Nominee Status
[edit]Per the Iowa Secretary of State's office, to appear on the primary election ballot, a candidate must get a required amount of petition signatures[1]. Candidate Kim West did not submit any signatures, therefore, he will not appear on the primary election ballot. Deidre DeJear is the only democrat on the ballot[2] and the only candidate the Iowa Democratic party has publicly promoted[3]. As she is the only democrat on the ballot, she would be seen as the presumptive nominee. Duplexdumbledore (talk) 09:00, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
